Already booked your call? You’re all set. There is no need to book again. Here is what happens next.
Thank you for considering Hammons, Hurst & Associates. We are a small firm, and we give close attention to the clients we represent. Because of our size, we cannot take every case, and our attorneys spend their days working on our current clients’ cases. That is why every new inquiry starts with a case intake call. Here is what to expect.
How it works
- Book a case intake call. Choose a time that works for you on our booking calendar. A member of our intake staff will call you at your scheduled time, so there is no need to call ahead.
- Tell us what happened. We will gather the details of your situation. This call is not legal advice, and it does not make you a client of the firm.
- Attorney review. If your situation looks like it may be a case, our intake notes go to one of our attorneys for review. Because we work around our attorneys’ schedules, this can take up to 7 business days.
- Our answer. If we may be able to help, we will contact you about next steps. If you have not heard from us within 7 business days of your call, please assume we are unable to take your case.
If we are unable to take your case, we encourage you to contact another employment law attorney promptly. Legal claims can have strict deadlines.
Why can’t I speak with an attorney right away?
Our attorneys are fully committed to the clients they already represent. Our intake staff is experienced at recognizing situations that may be a case, and anything that looks like one is reviewed with an attorney. This process lets us give each potential case real attention while giving our clients the time they deserve.
How to prepare for your call
- Your employer’s name and your job title
- Key dates: when you started, when the events happened, and when you were let go (if you were)
- Any documents you have, such as a termination letter, write-ups, performance reviews, or relevant emails and texts
A note about calls and messages
We receive a high volume of calls, and we cannot always return every message right away. Booking a case intake call is the fastest way to have your situation reviewed.
Thank you for reaching out to us. We look forward to speaking with you.
Contacting our firm does not create an attorney-client relationship. Please see our disclaimer.
